Application of Rotary Drum Screen in Sugar Factory

Rotary drum screens with side flanges and stainless/mild steel support drums are mainly used in sugar mills and other chemical plants for very efficient filtration.

Rotary wedge wire drum screens remove solids and other debris from wastewater streams to protect downstream equipment such as pumps and irrigation nozzles. Rotary drum screens are suitable for all types of wastewater, solids are screened and discharged by gravity.

Rotary drums

used in chemical plants, paper and pulp mills, dairy farms and food processing plants. They are designed to reduce clogging, maintenance and power consumption.

Rotating wedge wire screen working process: The waste water enters the tank and is evenly distributed on the side wall of the drum. Solids remain on the screen surface and liquid flows through the screen openings. The solids are screwed to the open end of the drum. The rotation of the drum causes the entire screen surface to be continuously washed with waste water. Cleaning can also be done by intermittent use of external nozzles.
